Patch Notes for Magnetic


  • Particles :D
    • Particle on Enemy Death (Adds juice to defeating enemies)
    • Particles for push and pull bullets
    • Particles when sprinting (Creates clarity when sprinting versus not)
  • Simplified Hub Area (Orginal Hub Was too complicated and took too long to get between levels)
  • Level Changes
    • Level 2- Natural cover against snipers in the room containing many of them (Makes this section less awkward with slowly moving block as a cover).
    • Level 3- Widened sections with crawling plants and timings to weave between them are more generous.
    • Level 4- Widened section where you push block past many bumpers (Was too annoying).
    • Level 4- Remove Pinball Sections (Too confusing and awkward for players to handle).
    • Major Level 5 Rework:
      • Cut the original design of taking blocks from 3 sections back to the beginning of the level (Too complicated, annoying, and unintuitive).
      • Redesigned to have a clear linear structure while still weaving between the sections
      • Spinners in the first section were changed from spiky to normal (allows players to learn the mechanic before adding lethality)
      • The second section was completely reworked removing electric spinners and becoming a combat arena with spiky spinners.
      • Removed the bumpers from the spinners of the third section.
    • Level 6- Last section cut (Level was a bit long in the tooth)
    • Level 7- Removed giant spinner section and replaced it with more interactive combat encounters that use the copycat enemy.
    • Level 8- Last section simplified with fewer pits to drop the block into (Careful movements with the block on ice was annoying)
    • Level 9- Last section cut (unintuitive chase sequence).
    • Level 10- Portal scripts were refined so firing bullets traveled through portals.
    • Level 10- Fixed section with snipers so that they shot through the portal.
    • Level 10- Removed last section (Did not offer any twists on the portal mechanic).
    • Level 11- Cut entirely, instead sends player straight to the final boss (Added no worthwhile mechanic and was too long).
